About the course

Geometry is an important math component that helps in understanding and describing the fundamental properties of the physical world, enabling one to solve real-world problems, build structures and has its importance in nearly all fields including science, art, engineering, architecture, construction, and so on.

The foundation for geometry starts in school where learners are introduced to various shapes and encouraged to perform basic calculations to determine area and volume. However, as the years progress, the difficulty levels significantly increase and the shapes become more complex.

The Cambridge Lower Secondary math curriculum requires students to develop an in-depth knowledge of geometry. The course contains content on basic topics like triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons and determining their areas as well as more challenging concepts like the volume and surface area of cubes, cuboids and cylinders.

With the complexity levels increasing, students are expected to visualise several 3-D shapes and then perform the calculations. Keeping this in mind, there are several 3-D graphic videos in the math course where the concepts have been explained in detail making understanding for the students easy. Additionally, the small quizzes will help the students gain confidence in each concept before they move to the next.

The course will help students learn the concepts required for the Cambridge Lower Secondary Program. With many learners having different learning abilities, this course will serve as a revision guide as well as enable students to study the content at their pace, while preparing them in depth for the upcoming examination.
